Mountains In Crown Point, New Mexico

This came from a photo I took one winter—the light was hitting the cliffs in such a dramatic way, I couldn’t look away. The snow softened everything, but those peaks still stood bold and proud against the sky. I was immediately inspired to paint it. There’s a kind of stillness in the mountains that I tried to carry into this piece—peaceful, yet full of presence.
