Pecos Kiva Ruins

I found this image in Southwestern Highway Magazine, but the sky in the photo was a clear, bright blue. It felt too calm for what the ruins stirred in me. So, I changed it—I gave it a storm. I wanted to make it feel majestic, like the sky itself was honoring the history held in those walls. The drama of the clouds, the strength of the earth—it all came together to tell a story of resilience and reverence.
